I love these hiking boots! I was raised doing lots of hiking and yet even as an adult, this is my first official pair of hiking boots! They are comfortable, sturdy around my ankles, and fit as I expected. My athletic shoes are Adidas size 8 but most of my shoes are 8.5, so I wasn’t sure what size to get after reading SO many conflicting reviews. So I went with a 9 because I wanted to have room for thick hiking socks and this color that I wanted to much was only available in a 9. (I LOVE this unique color boots!!). I haven’t tested them in the water or hiked yet but I will be sure to update this when I do. I am sure they will work great. Since I have kids, I know I won’t hike more than a few miles at a time so I opted to not buy the much more expensive Merrell, Keen, Vasque, etc. I like that these are reasonably priced and still are good quality. They do not have arch support if you are looking for that, but my feet don’t seem to need that.UPDATE: Went for a 2 mile hike today on rough terrain and they did great! Comfortable, waterproof, great ankle support. I walked through two shallow creeks and my feet stayed completely dry. And they are such a beautiful color!
