Simply follow these steps to ensure your bra is a perfect fit: Firstly, lean forward and allow your breasts to fall into your bra (what we call the swoop) so they sit in place naturally and comfortably. Then fasten the bra on the loosest hook and stand up. Lastly, scoop each breast gently into place in the bra (remember that breast tissue goes all the way to the underarm) to ensure they are comfortably positioned and not caught in the underwire or spilling out of the sides and use your index finger to smooth across the top cup edge to ensure there is no overspill. Amelia's seamless spacer fabric cups use a layer of air to create a beautifully rounded shape without adding volume. This light and comfortable style is available in basic and fashion colors in which both have a beautiful two-tone stretch lace, hidden side panel and bows
I recently discovered Elomi bras, and I love them--except the fit is not consistent from bra style to bra style. My usual bra size is 36G/FF (US/UK). I have one Elomi in a 36I/G (my favorite Lexi Plunge!), one in a 36J/GG, and this, in 36I/G. But even though the Amelia is the same size as the Lexi, they don't fit the same; the cup is slightly smaller in the Amelia. Here's how it fits my shape: The band is a nice sturdy 3 hook closure, the straps are fully adjustable and comfy, with a slight flex, not really stretchy. The cup fabric is slightly stretchy, which I don't like, since it causes quite a bit of bounce in this bra, which I always find irritating(and sometimes painful). The cup gives an even, round, smooth shape. The cup is a double layer, but still quite thin; so far there is no show through, and I am kind of "nipply" all the time. The center comes up quite high between the breasts, but still sits flat agains the breastbone. Like other Elomi bras, the underwire is very wide, and goes almost to the middle of your underarm, so it contains my full breast. (My breasts are full, the same width at the nipple and chest wall, with about 1/2" between them.) It's a full coverage cup, and comes high across the chest, so it's maybe not the best under a wide and low neckline. (For lower cut tops, or not, try the Lexi, it's lovely, so comfy, no bounce, amazing shape and support.) It's fine, I'm keeping it, though I can tell it won't be my favorite bra. It's pretty, the lace matches the fabric but with a slightly lighter pink woven into parts of it, and matches the panties perfectly. (The bra/panties color looks different on my screen, but the Amelia panties and bra are the same Cerise color, and the same subtle two tone lace. Love it! The panties are reviewed separately, but I'll say they're a very full coverage brief with a very vintage vibe. I'd say they run a tad big. I'm usually between L and XL, I bought the XL, and it's a bit loose. But still pretty and comfy and no lines showing.)Update: I am shopping for new bras, and I still wear (and still love) this bra that I bought in April 2017. It's now December 2019! When I wash all of my bras, this is the first bra that I pick out of the clean bras to put on, which means it is worn more often than any of my other bras, but it has held up longer than most others. The only other brand that seems to last this long is Fantasie. One of the best bras I've ever owned. I'm very short and very large breasted, and this is one of the few that doesn't have sides that poke the top of my underarm (most bra sides are too tall for me!). Very comfortable. Very supportive. Great lines. The lace does not show through thin tee shirts because of its placement on the sides, but it gives the bra a nice look. The cups in this bra have just the tiniest amount of stretch, which I need because there is about a half cup size difference between my two breasts. I either have to go up a cup size and have one bra cup slightly loose, or go down a cup size and have one bra cup slightly tight. A stretchy bra solves this problem, but as an H cup, I need more support than a stretchy bra can provide. This bra has nice, firm support that holds up my breasts while also having just the slightest bit of "give" so that the larger breast still fits into the cup. And this bra did not stretch out over time either. I've been wearing this bra for nearly 3 years at the time of this update.I've lost just enough weight to go down a size, and I will be buying a few of this bra. I wish I had bought more of this bra sooner. The fit is pretty much perfect - I am a 44K in Goddess, and I read an Elomi sizing chart and got the size indicated. The bra is cute, and the underwires are big enough to wrap around my breasts but short enough in the center that they don't poke out excessively when I sit down. If you've got a petite torso and rounded belly, you know what I mean.My issues with the bra come from some of the "features" of the bra, as follows:1. The soft cup, while comfortable, is just a molded cup and offers little support. Because I have heavy breasts, they have been, uh, liberally blessed by gravity. Because of the one-piece structure in the cup (versus the less sexy 3-4 parts), and even with the band properly sized, I felt the weight. Probably be OK if you have more lift and shape naturally.2. I was hoping that another trade off to the softly padded cup was that they would cover the on-off buttons better; they don't. I get better coverage from a non-padded multi-panel cup.3. I was also hoping for a nice, rounded shape. Unfortunately, on me the cups rounded by pushing my breasts out towards my armpits and sort of blobbing the breast tissue into a flatter front and rounded tips pointing roughly at 10 and 2 o'clock. Not cool.4. The pretty detailing near the straps and center panel were more scratchy than I would like.5. The lace overlay on the outside of the cup is not discreet. It creates a rough textured look under single-layer shirts.6. The stretchy band is comfortable enough, but it's the type of band that feels great for a week, but 4-6 weeks in, you're on the first set of hooks and the wires start falling.7. Band edges started to curl up after a trial wearing (about 5 minutes). It's a no for me, but might work well on smaller or more shapely breasts. The trade off on comfort versus support was not good, so it's going back.First let me say, it took me quite a while to figure out my size (I ordered several times). However, I am so happy with this bra now that I have the correct size! I have close-set breasts so the fact that this tacks in the middle and doesn't move is a huge plus. It seems very well made (and I've tried bras that cost twice as much). The wires are wide enough to surround all of the breast tissue, even under the arms, but they don't come up ridiculously high in the front. My only complaint is that the lace on the sides shows under light colored clothing. It's smooth, but the pattern on the lace shows. It's not a deal breaker by any means and I highly recommend this bra. This is the one of the best fitting bra I have bought. I am always wary of moulded bras because at 34HH I felt the mould would make me look bigger. The bra gives me a good profile, uplift and seems to act like a mimimiser bra. It is smooth under my t shirt too. I was so happy with it that I wrote this review as soon as I tried it on. Hope it remains the same after wash.Being a rather well endowed female I am amazed I haven't discovered Elomi before.I have now brought several more of different designs. I love the fact they are reasonably price. I've never been able to wear a new bra unless it had been washed several times. I am amazed that I wore one straight from the packet and worked for 12 hrs. No rubbing no discomfort. So impressed. Can't what to have an excuse to buy more !I normally lice Elomi Bras but this design is just awful, I can't quite put my finger on what is wrong with it, it just doesn't fit well at all, I seem to fall out if it somehow. It hurts under the arms, totally uncomfortable. Elomi ate great but thumbs down from me for this design. If you have a fuller bust I find these really comfortable get the right size is a must ! I have had a mastectomy and I find that they hold the firm well, I sew a pocket in just to feel more confident .Love this bra. It’s my go to T-shirt bra and own several of them. The fit is perfect (I’ve been measured) and looks great under my clothes (no seams, lumps or bulges).Good value for money and with the right washing care lasts along time.
